I mean checking the IDE properties for your drive(s). It should probably show something like "ultradma mode 5", but I read it can go back to "pio-mode whatever" due to certain faults. I think windows sets it to a lower level after a certain amount of faults (something like that).

ive just noticed this exact problem with my machine also. i use a pvr150. it happens randomly and only skips for about 1/4 - 1/2 sec

chwey747, if you havnt already tried the latest drivers with timestamp registry settings, that would be the first thing I'd try.

those drivers unfortunatly give me the pink screen, so i had to roll back my driver

I have comskip running 'during' by GB-PVR. I do have post processing happening, but I've been checking these glitches against the original MPG with or without the comskip.txt file present too.

I've couldn't use comskip during recording because I would end up with a 2-5 mins file for a 30 min recording. During playback in GBPVR or of the original MPEG, the audio is screwed up and the video is out of sync. I always figured it's because my computer is too slow (P3 700mhz! ).

I'm thinking this might be the case for you too? (Just a guess.) Two simultaneous recordings with both using comskip can use a lot of resources. Not to mention your hard drive may not be able to keep up. Check your cpu usage.

Just to clarify, comskip running 'during' by GBPVR with just one recording works for you, right? And simultaneous recordings but comskip is ran after the recordings works as well, right?

I cant help you with the pink screen thing, but as I've said, it does sound like the timestamp error.
