I like the tree view, much easier to find what I am looking for.

Is there any way to be notified by email when the new releases are available?

Let me play with a bit. Are you considering options to let us tweak what we search on and how the query is sorted? I am thinking about a query for genre movie, only if star rating is two stars or better, sorted by star rating, etc.

I know this request is going to make it clear that I have too many recordings waiting to be viewed.....

It would be nice if the search results, TV Grid, etc. would flag things that I already have recorded. It is pretty easy to forget and record something again. If it didn't do it on the results, perhaps it could check when I try to record it and say 'Dude... watch what you already have recorded!' ;-)

That is next.....I wanted to lay out the base processes first before implementing custom sorting. I also have to be concious of what is available to the user....not all user's EPG's support Star Ratings as well as some other items......I will have to implement the options so that they are available if you have an EPG that supports them and not to offer them if they do not support them.....not too hard to do....the Config tab already does this....

To group by genre will be tricky....it wouldn't be too hard for single genre but if you want to use all related genre it will increase the result set up to 4 or 5 times (I believe there can be up to 5 genre per show....at least in ZaP2it listings)......

I think the tree view may help with this since it sorts all liked shows together in one tree....if you have something recorded already it should show in the tree.....I highlight the subtitle if anything under the tree is either recorded, recording, pending or in conflict so that you can easily tell something is going on for that part of the tree.....

I should probably post the release info in the Community Announcement forum as well as this one....that would help.

One thing to do is subscribe to this thread and then you are notified when there are new postings.....

Looks like tree-view is popular, but I'm not overly fussed about it, at least for now, which is probably why I'm the only one who might have noticed some odd behaviour.

Trying to save the original (non-tree view) option in config saves it for the session and subsequent logins but it appears that if I restart GBPVR via the config and then login again, choose (e.g.) a program in the mini-guide and then click all episodes in the pop-up window of that particular program I get everyone's favourite tree-view back again... is this by design

Just a note....I am leaving for vacation (Holiday) on Friday 8/11/2006. I will be out of town for a couple of weeks lazing at the beach.
