0kb recordings

I am having an internittent problem with recordings, some record fine, then others end up as a 0kb file size. It seems that once one has failed I must restart the rcording service before recodings will be succesful.

I found this in GBPVRRecordingservice-2.log relating to some failed recordings....

Any ideas what is causing this? I am running 97.13 using SQL, and have the weather / slimmgbpvrtray / mvpicon plugins.

It seems that I am having more failed recordings on 97.13 than on the previous release.

Unfortunately I dont think that will help him. That problem only affected digital capture devices. He has a WinTV PVR2 USB.

largelumox, can you try editing the direct.ini file, and setting INIT_MODE=DEFAULT in the [Hauppauge WinTV PVR2 USB2] section, then see if it helps?

thanks sub, just changed it and set it to record a couple of random shows...first one is recording ok as I type this.....I'll report back later

sub, thanks that seems to have fixed it, just recorded 2 shows back to back on same channel, then another show on a different channel...all working so far.

I'll report back tomorrow once the evenings recordings have hopefully taken place.

It certainly would have got rid of thousands of error message in his -native log files.
