I saw this on Computer Geeks for $25.95:

http://www.compgeeks.com/details.asp?invtid=TTOM878A

and was wondering if it would make a good second tuner beside my PVR-350.

Perhaps it is a stupid question and not compatible with GB-PVR, but I figured there was no harm in asking.

Hi,

None of the BT8x8 chipset based cards are supported. That chip just grabs raw video frames. GBPVR only works with cards that do hardware mpeg encoding on-board such as PVR250, PVR350, XCard, PCTV Deluxe, PlayTV@P7000 etc.

krypton, I cannot find any documentation on a PlayTV@P7000 card. The ProLink PixelView PlayTV series of cards don't appear to name their cards that way. =( Any help? I'd like to make a page to keep track of who is offereing which cards and where. Most people are turned off by the Hauppauge prices and I'm turned off by their history of product quality.

I've got an AverMedia TV/FM 98... I think it's a BT878 card... It does what I need it to and is fairly well supported in Linux programs, but I've been wanting something a bit better. I've been looking for a way to interface with it programically, but haven't found anything yet...
