Within the last week or so, my GBPVR has starting failing recordings. The recording will appear to start, the file will be created, but then the recordingservice will take up 100% of the CPU and stay there until I reset the PC. The GBPVR tray icon stays green during this time.

I have reinstalled GBPVR from the latest download, but this is still happening. Some recordings are OK, but most fail.

LiveTV works fine.

I have attached *all* of the logs - sorry if this is overkill!

Please help!

probally a dumb answer.. but this happened to me a few weeks ago... I found it to be I ran out of room on the video recordings drive, who knew that 100epsisodes of MickeyMouseClubHoue, and House of Mouse would take all that room [Tongue]

and yah Live TV ran fine as well.. so double check that...
=) those big drives are not as big as we think LOL

Can you post the output from MuxChecker on your machine?

GB-PVR has detected the following multiplex filters on your machine:

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: C:\AutoDVRconvert_1.3\MpgMux.ax
VERSION: 5.0.0813

If you're running WinXP SP1 or higher, you will also be able to use the built-in DVR-MS mux filter

Nothing not changed since it was all working fine...

Have changed to the 5.0.2022 cyberlink mux, and I am getting fewer 0byte recordings. Also seem to have fixed the CPU -> 100% problem. However, I am still getting the odd 0byte recordings. GBPVR thinks it has recorded OK, but the file is 0bytes.

Do you have any idea why this happens Sub ? Seems to be a long running problem in the forums ....

I have installed the nativeutilities.dll that you posted elsewhere.
