redelephant Wrote:I absolutely cannot get Webadmin to work. I've done a bunch of searches and tried everything I've found -- nothing. I've tried both a fresh install and the Enhanced Webadmin plugin. My router has the port forwarded, there's no software firewall up, yet every time I try to go to the address I get a "page cannot be displayed" error. I get this error from any machine I try. I don't have any logs in the .Net folder (with gbpvrpublic.dll). Would they be anywhere else? It's really driving me crazy. Thanks in advance for your help.

I take it you can't access it from your local machine (machine running gbpvr)? - ruling out the router

Also, I assume you are using http://IP:PORT/gbpvr/default.aspx

Where IP is the ip of your GBPVR box and port is the port you set in config..

Is it not time to get a proper forum for EWA as this plugin is now in the standard release package? This 135 page thread is getting a little hard to find anything useful in...

When new releases of GBPVR are released it usually will include the latest stable build of the EWA. However, there are often times when new builds are released even though GBPVR has not been updated.

This forum is to support each release of EWA regardless of what is currently being shipped with GBPVR.

Having its own forum would, in my case Wink, make it much more harder to monitor and maintain support questions for EWA. Rather than having one spot (thread) to monitor that contains all the info and support questions I would need to monitor the forum and individual threads and thus have much more to contend with.

What are your hopes/benifts that you would get from having an isolated forum?

You mean this thread, not forum I suppose?

I don't see why separate threads would interfere with the different version of EWA. It would make it much clearer as you can ideed have one thread for each version - one for the included version, and one for the latest. Or whatever is appropriate...

Each topic in its own thread. Simple as that. Smile

Much easier to find and browse through the different topics without having to wade through all sorts of discussions when looking for a specific problem or solution.

Possibility to subscribe to the topics of interest and skip the rest.

I really believe it would be easier for you too (and everybody else) to keep track of the different issues if they are in there own threads.

In my opinion the IMDB and Netflix links are cluttering up the TV guide. Especially since they mostly apply to movies.

Suggestion: Move these links to the detail popup.
Perhaps add a filter in config to enable these links for genre=movie only. But if they are in the popup they are not interfering so much anyway.

With a lot of work I suppose, the different issues could be broken down by topic, so a lurker could find only the threads that pertain to that topic...
