jksmurf Wrote:Referring to my previous posts (original error, description) I am convinced EWA doesn't like "Quotation Marks" in the show name when scheduling a recording.

This is the second instance and the common denominator is those quotes. I can perhaps try and snip them from my xml using post-processing by my grabber TVXB, but if EWA has a simple fix, that'd be great.

Cheers

I just scheduled this without a problem.....it has quoats in the subtitle.

Hmmm ... do you have one with quotes in the title? (grasping at straws here ...) it's the only thing I can see common to both. Other shows searched for in the same search scheduled fine.

If you like I can manually edit these quotes out and try it again, if I can get UltraVNC to stop hanging, (soon, otherwise tonight). btw I'm still using "old" non-tree format, if that helps.

If you can try it....but honestly I don't think that is it.....the recordings are scheduled via PGM Id and the title is only used for display puposes.....let me know if that fixes it.

Nope, doesn't fix it (you're excused Smile )

The xml tages were <title lang="en">&quot;Hannibal&quot;</title> FYI.

So now I have to ask: has the recordings conflict behaviour changed? I just noticed that there was a recording already scheduled at the same time, but the old behaviour was to allow recording of both shows, with a yellow "conflict" flag appearing on the manage recordings page.

However this new behaviour just says it (scheduling) failed, and not that there was a conflict. Both recordings (old behaviour) would be good IMO, despite the conflict status, as this can be overidden by those those using priority recordings e.g.

I used to remember it (would this have anything to do with sub's (sticky thread) patch for not being able delete recordings, I sort of remember this started after that), but it may be completely un-related.

I am sure, that this was asked before, but i couldn't find a solution. I followed the install instructions step-by-step for webadmin.
LocalAccess from same machine works perfect, but i can't access from outside to my PC at home.
The PC is normally reachable for other things by dyndns (FTP Services). Within WinXP i disabled temporarly the built-in Firewall and configured the NAT-Router to forward the standard-port 7647 to my pc.
But i can't reach it. Internet Explorer just say "404", page can not be displayed.
FTP-Access works perfect. What could this be? Has a special WinXP service to be enabled, or is it something else?
It would be great, if someone could point me to the error.

The Url is:
http://shiningdragon.dyndns.org:7647/gbpvr

But even if i am using the IP adress instead, i can't connect to my PC via Web EPG.

ftp://shiningdragon.dyndns.org works perfect, but only for my FTP Server.

You are sure you have the right port forwarded in your router? (I made this mistake more than onceSad )
No other settings in your router (firewall) that might stop it?

Yepp, i am sure. It's not the first Application i forwarded by my router. Is one port not enough perhaps? Do i have to forward more than one specific port to WebEPG?
Firewall was for testing purposes completely disabled. I don't understand why it's not working.
The funny thing: I don't get it to work on two different PC's on two different places!!! (home and work)

shiningdragon.dyndns.org and tnb-theke.dyndns.org

I can't reach both of them; but on both the local access works perfect. Why can't i reach them from outside? I can access without any problems to my FTP.

It's just like this: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post137773

I don't know if it means something, but I can't ping you on both adresses.
I have a dyndns-adres myself and I can ping myself perfectly on that.

Edit; wrt the firewall, you disabled the router firewall as well?
