I first tried installing GB-PVR a couple of months ago, but gave up when I couldn't solve its errors. After reading that there might have been a conflict with that particular release of the program and XP x64, I'm trying again.
Tuner: Hauppauge 150
OS: Windows XP x64
Release: 09808
I'm getting the same errors as last time. I have reinstalled both GB-PVR itself, and .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0 (for x64). Upon exiting configuration, the following box pops up: "Windows Service Start Failure: Cannot start service from the command line or a debugger. A Windows Service must first be installed (using installutil.exe) and the started with the ServerExplorer, Windows Services Administrative tool or the NET START command." This box also pops up when I boot Windows, presumably because GB-PVR is trying to launch at start-up. This is obviously a .NET problem.
If I start the program itself via shortcut, when I click on LiveTV, I get the following error: "Error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it". No idea what this is about--sounds like a networking issue. I'm not trying to do anything with GB-PVR over a network, though.
Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you for your time.
