What exactly is the procedure for upgrading to 98.8. I think I have 97.13. I just don't see anything on it in the wiki. Maybe I looked in the wrong place. Do I just download it over the old version or do I have to delete my old version and download the new one?

Normally all your data is retained automatically during upgrades, but these backups will come in handy if you encounter problems during this process.

From post #1 of the v0.98.8 available thead.

I saw that but it doesn't exactly tell you what to do it just gives you the site to download from and reminds you to back up the config.

Backup your config.xml and your db file, then just execute the installer and it will automatically upgrade everything. I usually make a copy of the entire gbpvr folder (including subfolders), that way in case anything goes wrong, I can just uninstall, delete the folder structure, reinstall the older version and copy over the saved backup folder and you are back in business. With that said, I have never had any issues with upgrading, they always go very smooth.

Ok. That's what I thought but I just wasn't sure and didn't see anything saying so. I actually just copied everything to a "backup gbpvr folder" that should be find right?

I upgraded from .95.xx version and it blew up. This is the first time the upgrade didn't work for me. I probably should have upgraded to some newer versions first like fo from .96 -> .97 -> .98

But luckily the big TV season isn't up to full speed quite yet so rescheduling recordings and such wasn't a big deal.
