I recently purchased the above card and installed in my system OK (WinXP Home SP2). I also have a Medion DVB-T Card installed, although I can't get this to pickup any freeview Sad (postcode check says can't get freeview so not overly concerned). The PVR500 was working fine and I was a very happy bunny (as was OH).

I thought I'd have a play to see if I could get the analogue side of the Medion card working using GraphEdit (me thinking 3 tuners would be good). Got all the settings sorted, played around a bit and have ended up doing something to stop the PVR500 working  (and the analogue side of things doesn't work on the Medion Card). Issue is like a really bad reception (snowy/broken up picture) but audio is fine. Wished I'd not played around now!!

SO - Uninstalled the PVR500 Card and reinstalled using drivers of the CD (3.1C). Still the same. Installed latest drivers (3.1E) from Hauppauge website - still same. Removed all drivers and put card in different slot reinstalled drivers (3.1E) and still the same. Any one have any suggestions on what else to try. It's driving me made not having the ability to record TV at the moment. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

BTW – PC has Cyberlink PowerCinema 4.0 and PowerDVD 6.0 preinstalled and can’t get the PVR500 working with PowerCinema either, although the analogue side of the Medion card works fine with PowerCinema. Capture source #1 is PVR500 with FM Radio, Capture source #2 is PVR500. FM radio works fine via GBPVR.

Just to say I tested incase was some issue just with live TV but it is definately the same with recorded TV. If I need to post any log files then let me know. Seems to me more of a driver type issue than with GBPVR directly.

If you run the tuning assistant, select your PVR500, can you see all your channels, and are they clear?

Thanks for the reply Sub. Tuning assistant gives the same result as Live TV - Snowy/broken up picture. Ran the tuning Assistant on both PVR500 and PVR500 with FM tuner. Same results on both.

Can you post a screenshot?

Its not just poor reception is it? Are you using a splitter off the same ariel to the Medion DVB-T card? If so, I'd try taking that splitter out to see if it improves.

If i move the cable from the PVR500 to the Medion card and fire up PowerCinema I can view the 5 channels (BBC1, BBC2, ITV, C4, C5) without any problem, so I'm not sure that it is the cable - although it seems that way from the screen. Sometimes its a better image that above just ghosted as if it still isn't tuned in correctly.

Dont worry, I saw the picture by visit the URL in your post.

In that particular case, it doesnt look like you're tuned to a channel at all. Its just static.

Its possible something has added frequency override settings to your machine, cocking up the defaults in the process. Try using the forum search feature to search for 'frequency override settings' - I'm sure there was some discussion on which registry settings to delete to clean it up.

If its not that, then I'm going with broken hardware or drivers.
