cgmt Wrote:The share on the remote PC already had Full Access ganted to everyone at the share level and the Drive level and it did not work. When I changed the GBPVRService to run as a local account(administrator) it works fine. Thanks!!! Any ideas on not having to change the service account?

Try this.....

Instead of using a local user account for running gbpvr recording service go into the service and browser for user and enter Network as the user.

This should find the Network user rather than the Local user defualt account. The Network account will (or should) let you access networked resources.

Let me know if this works.

You could try creating an account and add it to the Power Users group. You would also need to define this Id on the machine hosting the share.

The Network id that you just tried has the same access as someone in the standard Users group.....apparently that does not have enough rights to operate EWA.

Here is what someone in the power users group has access to do....I think it may be enough:

Power Users can:
  • Run legacy applications, in addition to Windows XP Professional certified applications.
  • Install programs that do not modify operating system files or install system services.
  • Customize system wide resources including printers, date, time, power options, and other Control Panel resources.
  • Create and manage local user accounts and groups.
  • Stop and start system services which are not started by default.

Also it looks as though all the formatting/themes are good. Attached is a screen shot. In prior releases it looks very sharp, now there are now graphics or anything. Is there something that I am missing, or is this how it looks now? Thanks

Sometimes the Theme gets "stuck".....try clearing your web cache on-line and off-line files (if you are using IE) or just the cache if you are using firefox.

Click refresh in the browser when in EWA.

Change the theme to antother theme and click save.

It isn't the app.

In the config tab there is a drop down for theme....just pick one in the drop down and then click on the submit button. Should change right then and there.....

By the way...I just noticed in your screen shot that the theme is set to blank....that is why you saw no graphics or color......
