Hi guys

i recently got a PX-M402U device from a friend. he lost his CD which was shipped with the product but other then that it seems to work at his place with goCap (a plextor util). I want to use it with GB-PVR yet i understand you need the original CD (with the original WinDVD and WinDVD creator) to get it working. Is the device useless for me, what happens to people who lose the CD? is there no way around this? would love to hear any solutions!

thx alot in advance

Does this card have a TV tuner? It looks like it's a video converter.

All suport files are here:

Hi

thx for the answer! yeah it does not have a tuner. i want to hook it but through a VCR (that has a tuner). It says in the GBPVR wiki that it is supported but that you need to install the original winvdvd and windvd creator in order for it to work. i dont have that CD so i was wondering if there was anyway to get over that requierment....

thx alot in advanec

I dont know what to tell you. As it says on the wiki, you need to have installed the WinDVD Creator software that came with the device. This device doesnt do everything in hardware, so these software components (audio compressors, mux filters etc) are need to make recordings.

Can't you download it from Plextor, or ask them for a new disk. They are respectable firm I think.

Edit: I checked http://www.plextor.com I think maybe with the drivers and plextools you should be fine. Trying won't hurt.
