powerful, just not all that easy to work with (well if you're trying to do some complex things, working with xml, downloading additional packages, editing .bat files etc)

Why reinvent the wheel, there already is an ANT task for this:

Plus if you use Eclipse, there is a great plugin for NSIS as well.

Thank's for the links. I didn't find them back when I had to deal with nsis... those would have been nifty to have (not that our ant target was too complicated to write, but still...)
