If you wouldn't mind... In order to further test, I need a clip of dvr-ms.

Just a minute or two, hopefully with the some commercial and main program....

If you could make it available for my download, that would be great...

zehd -
thanks for that -
I used GBPVRConert last night to manually ensure all my recordings
were moved across to mpegs - it doesnt take very long as there is not much of a conversion involved.

maybe it makes sense to just allow gbprv as a pre step on the dvr-ms files to get them to mpeg - and the rest works as you already have it ?

I'll send you a pm with ftp details - as i dont think ISP will let me put a file of the required size on public space -

Regards

I'm downloading now. Might have it next year. Yes, without looking further, I'd say that it might be better to use gbpvrconvert.exe to get it into mpg first...

I'll see if I can build it into Zprocess. The main point of the software is a one stop shop.... So give me a couple of days...

I had backed up and started tweaking my wiki page when the wiki crashed.

Currently, if you're lucky, you'll only see the first half of it. I'll upload again soon...

Hello again,

With everything working perfectly I have come across a problem and would like people’s input. I mainly play xvid, mpg and divx files using zprocess and it is awesome. I recently downloaded an episode of a program that I missed which is a two-pass xvid asd file. When I try to run the file through gbpvr it opens then shuts immediately. The log indicates that the file was processed in 2 seconds and all I get on the TV is a blank screen, which then returns to the gbpvr file menu as if the show has ended.

This happens when I try to do a manual transcode as well. I've changed the 4cc to DX50 and rebuilt the file using divfix but with no luck. The file plays fine in wmp.

First, Glad it's working for the most part...

Second, I hate to be a broken record, but ZProcess doesn't get involved if you're playing an MPEG. GB-PVR and MVP plays that type directly...

Third, I feel your pain. It's happened to me too, I missed a show, get on the torrent sites and pull it down only to find it doesn't play...

here's some ideas...
  • The DivX is bad. Happens all the time. Does it play directly on the server?

  • THe AVI is mildly corrupted and doesn't like to be transcoded. If that's the case I suggest running the AVI through a Fixer program like 'AVI Fixed' that come with K-Lite Mega Codec Pack (Custom install)

My only other piece of advice is to download it again from a different torrent, make sure it's a different filename...

This happens to me about once in 10 torrents, (maybe in a season)

I Don't actually condone BitTorrent as the only means to get TV and movies. I prefer to get it on PVR and if by chance it messes up, I have a fallback. Except for Stargate - the damn show is made in Canada, and it doesn't show first run like in the states....? Yeah Right

I've discovered the solution. If I go to the trans2mvp profile in zproccess and select the 'more' button at the bottom the avi s will transcode properly if I set the audio frequency to 48000.

It appears that it does not remember the 48000 setting and therefore when trying to play them through the mediamvp using gbpvr it doesn't work.

Is there anywhere I can set the audio rate to 48000 so that it will work though gbpvr?

You're right. Sorry. It's fixed and ready for download off the wiki. Download the quick update link... Should be ver 673
