problems with "native" 16:9 (pal-plus) recordings

some broadcasts in germany are in "native" 16:9 (pal-plus). watch
or record such a broadcast dont really work (see attached screenshot).
sometimes a scheduled recording may not stop recording (gbpvrrecordingservice records without ending but the file dont
grow after some time).
specially this is a problem with commercials. the movie is in native 16:9,
the commercial comes in 4:3 then back to the movie again 16:9......

my system:
- windowsXP sp2
- .net 2.0
- terratec cinergy 1200 dvb-c (bda-driver 4.8.15)
- gbpvr v0.98.8b

Assuming you have an nvidia video card, then this is likely the nvideo aspect ratio bug. You could try pressing the 'F7' key a few times until you get to the 'full' aspect ratio, or switch from VMR9 to VMR9 Custom, or disable hardware accelleration in the video decoder.

Apparently older versions of the forceware drivers also correct the problem.
