I have a Hauppauge PVr-350 remote, Microsoft MCE 2005 remote and beanbag and a programmable URC-8910 remote. I have GBPVR setup to use the MS remote and am using the URC-8910 remote to control it. The MS remote has programmable buttons L1-L4. I would like to have these do what the red-blue buttons do. GBPVR won't respond to the Hauppauge remote color buttons though. How can I edit or add this functionality to the remote file in GBPVR?

if you can program the remote to keystrokes they are ctrl+r ctrl+y ctrl+g and ctrl+b I am sure you can figure out which is which (all the other keyboard commands are documented on the wiki, or you can read the key mappings file)

I use a genuine Microsoft MCE 2005 remote that has the coloured buttons on the bottom. They work fine for me.

What hex codes do you mean exactly? If you're talking about URC-8910 codes, then no I dont. I dont have one of these URC remotes.

Are the hex codes read by HIP different than the URC?

Use the 8910's L1-L4 as learning keys for the colored buttons.

Usually when GB-PVR interacts with this remote, it receives a key code from the driver like 0x4803 for the red red. I dont think this this is the same sort for code the URC uses. It probably uses a much longer hex string which represents the IR signals actually sent for this RC6 code.

That is exactly what I want to do but my MS remote does not have the color buttons. I know I should have put that in my original post.
