Ureka!!!Big Grin

I think I've found it. Yesterday I did a clean install of GBPVR, Blue MCE and ML2 into a clean copy of Windows (Thank God for VMWare!).

Everything worked as it should do so I started blaming my origonal setup for the odd behaviour and was considering trashing that and starting from scratch.Sad Good job I didn't.)

Having played around with the clean copy yesterday, I thought I'd just give it one more check this morning and lo & behold, the odd behaviour has appeared in the clean copy.

One by one I've worked through every config option and guess what, if I change the "While playing show" in config to "Visualisations", the odd behaviour starts. If I set it to Album Art, behaviour returns to normal.

I've tested this back on my origonal machine and that behaves the same too.

Is this something in the ML2 coding or a media player problem?

I don't know, it kind of sounds specific to you - I'll try with visualisations turned on and see if WMP gets in the way (since that's what it seems to be doing for you).

I haven't had anyone else complain of these sorts of problems, but also not seen anyone in just the general forums mentioning this as well with any other plugin...

It might be that because visualisations are used WMP thinks it's got the focus so handles all of the key presses....

I can't get the album art to show. I have a file called "default.jpg" in most of my folders and I can see the album art when I press "Enter" on the keyboard on a track to bring up the information window. I see the album cover in the bottom right. When going through the library or playing music, all I see is the default CD with the play symbol. I also have visualizations to show album art. Any suggestions? Oh, and I've tried scanning my MP3 folder again and restarting my computer.

That sounds strange.....it works on mine, but most of my album art is "folder.jpg".

Can you try renaming one of your jpgs and see if that makes a difference.

Also maybe turn on "stupid logging" (in the config app under the ML2 plugin) for a bit and send me those gbpvr.exe.log files, I can't remember if I put any logging in about the album art..

Thanks, I'll try renaming when I get home tonight. After I rename the file(s), will I need to restart GBPVR or rescan my MP3 folders to pick up the changes?

I was going to say that you shouldn't have to rescan, but to be on the safe side it might be worth it. I save in the db that the album/song has art.

I renamed one of my "default.jpg" images to "folder.jpg" rescanned, restarted and still nothing. One weird thing is, I have 2 MP3 files (out of my 15GB collection) that for some reason don't show their ID3 tag info. When I see these files in the Music Library, they are listed under "(unknown)" as their Artist and instead of showing the song title from the ID3 tag, they show the filename. When I put the selection over either of these 2 files, I see the album art for them (one is from the Beatles 1 album, the other from Jimi Hendrix). If I put the selection thing over other songs from these 2 albums that work (show the proper ID3 info) I do not see the album art. Attached are my logs, but I don't think they really say much...

Sorry for the double post, but this is unrelated to my "problem" above.

When removing tracks from the playlist, the currently playing song starts over from the beginning. Is there a way to stop this from happening? Something to add to the wishlist perhaps?

Regards your second post, I'll re-visit it, but I'm not sure I have much control over it. For removing something from the playlist, I think I have to replace the list currently playing with a new list....as In I don't think I can just tell gbpvr to remove this track....but as I said I'll look.

uh, yeah, just looked at your logs, pretty empty..
I don't even see you selecting any songs to view or anything. Do you run an MVP?? If you do, can you go through the same actions on that, only the MVP will log rather than the PC client.
