Hopefully the title says it all, but here is a more detailed explanation.
First of all, in case it is significant, I am using MVP.

Assume I have a scheduled recording due to start at say 20:00
At 19:45 I start watching another channel.
At 20:00 the channel I am watching just freezes.

I would have expected that I would get a prompt saying something along the lines of:
"A schedules recording is due to start.
Do you want to switch channels, or continue watching this channel and cancel the recording?"

Have I got something set up incorrectly?

If I return to the main menu and press LiveTV, I get the prompt that no tuners are available, and can select to watch the recording.

It took me a while to work out what was going on , and the WAF is adversely affected.

As always, thanks for a superb product. I have oscillated between SageTV and GBPVR, but with the addition of the client mode, I am now firmly in the GBPVR camp. And yes, I have made a contribution - shame on those of you who haven't Big Grin .

Ah. I've just seen exactly the same thin g in another post - I checked yesterday and didn't see anything similar. Should have checked again before posting shouldn't I.

Anyway, I am using the latest release - 0.98.8, downloaded on 22nd September.

As per other post
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post144513
I get a loop of the last couple of seconds of whatever I was watching, making it appear to have locked up.

No, thats correct. If you're watching TV when a recording is about to start, then you a plonked back to the menu.

Thanks for rapid response. the problem is though that I on't get ponked back to the main menu. The MVP just stops playing back the video - usually looping back the last 2-3 sconds of what was being watched.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Just for completeness in case anyone is following this, refer to http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=20239 where it looks like the cause for this has been identified.
