Pending list "cursor" spontaneously returns to top

Hello,

My wife and I have noticed that when we are browsing through the Pending programs in Recording screen, the highlighted program would tend to randomly "jump" back to the top line.

We don't remember this happening in 97.* or before.

Also, to add details, we have seen this happen when we press down/up and also when we are not touching anything.

Any ideas?

Are you talking about the mouse cursor, or the selected item?

Can you give me an exact set of steps?

Selected item.

Steps:
1. Go to Recordings => Pending.
2. Hit 'Down' on the menu navigation keys in the remote a couple of times.
3. Wait. After some random amount of time, it re-selects the first item.

Ah, I think know whats causing this.

If you're on the pending screen and the list changes (recording starts or finishes), it gets reloaded which also has the side effect of moving to the top of the list. It should happen very often though - like I said, only when you're on the pending screen when a recording either starts of finishes.

Hmmm... Could be but it doesn't add up.
I've seen this happen like 6-7 times in the span of about 1 minute once.
I only have 2 tuners.

I've left my main machine sitting half way down the pending list for the last 20 minutes and it hasnt moved yet.

If you didnt have the recording service running at the time a recording was scheduled to be recording, then you could get the behaviour you describe. This is not a normal situation though.
