i just got comskip -> chapters working so you can skip commercials on dvds! Smile
new menu is in the works too with changable backgrounds..
[1 menu page per movie with full descriptions, titles etc..]
which will allow unlimited movie adding and show better info on menu with bigger thumbnail..
coming soon....

Just now getting to upgrading to 98. from 96., and checking in on this tool.

Skimming the last few pages, it sounds like the tool was not working in 97.13 except for the command line interface, with .98 what can I expect to work or not work?

Just so I don't spend too much time troubleshooting my updated setup Smile

Thanks!

well, with .98 it should work fine...the problem has been fixed and them some..Smile
he actually added a specifier for the executable so now i don't have to make a fake ffmpeg so much easier..Smile
also coming out with new features for a new .98x + version that has a few new features..unlimited movies, one page per movie, comskip skipping[manual] and full descriptions...
almost done but working on an installer for the lot..will be totally automatic, adding the config.xml lines as well..
i've been using it for a few weeks now and it's working well..Big Grin
needs serious cosmetic updating but that can be changed later by users too..
[substitute your own background,etc]
but yea, the existing version should work fine now, and you could update to the next version when it comes out..
[note, existing version will still replace ffmpeg.exe tho you can still reference it with only 1 f eg.: "fmpeg.exe"]
was also working on making it an option for Recordings2 plugin from the wiki, to be integrated in his next version...
so try and let me know if anything is a problem...
check back next week for new version..

This tool is now working great for me since the upgrade to .98. I am able to fit 3 - 1 hour episodes per DVD. Not sure if that is the norm, but no complaints here. Just wish I had some faster speed DVD-RWs Smile

I modified my burndvd.bat to use imgburn, since it's free:

"C:\Program Files\imgburn\imgburn" /MODE ISOBUILD /BUILDMODE DEVICE /NOIMAGEDETAILS /SRC "F:\dvdtmp\tmp1\VIDEO_TS" /DEST G: /LOG test.log /START /CLOSE /VOLUMELABEL "GBPVR DVD"

change the /SRC to where your dvdtmp is and change DEST to whatever drive your dvd burner is.

My only problem is the dvdque file never gets emptied out.

Really nice set of tools..makes a perfect DVD for me...archiving loads of things all day.

thanks
Mark.

yes, i thought about using that also...it also uses Nero to burn but it removes the version compatibility problems nicely..Smile
didn't want to add tooo much size either...but it looks like the best way to go..tho would have to add a way to run it at least once for config...[set drive letter, etc]

yea,i doesn't automatically remove the files, in case of errors and you need to burn it again..
but if you want to clear the list just select the 'remove dvd burn list' from transcode menus...
from command line, just run "burndvd.bat remove"
this will delete the burn-list completely...
next version will add ability to remove just last entry.. Smile

sorry,i've been away for a while...busy...but have new system so will be upgrading and returning to work on the 98.x version which is almost complete...

What are the command line arguments for ShowBurner2? When I try 'add' and then the full path of the mpeg, I get:

Quote:C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr>if not "add" == "" goto :add
The system cannot find the batch label specified - add

When i create a "clean" dvd-que, it has the following line in it:
"E:\mpg\The Closer\The Closer_20060619_20002100.mpg"

What does that one(the dvdauthor.exe doesn't like it) ?

It's in the dvd-que.new. Can i delete this one as well ??

I am "playing" with the PAL-mpegs, but i have some problems in creating back1 and back2.jpg. Have i Fuc... up the image-resizing (I have attached my dvdburn.bat)?

Everything else is working fine.....
