Problems on the receiving end... (streaming)

I cant, for some reason, get any client computer to connect to a stream using WMP. When I set web admin up to open VLC on the client computer it streams fine... However.. When I set it to open or even use an imbedded WMP it freaks... Sometimes it even throws a VLC error on the server machine.
Any Clues? Otherwise.. THIS WEB ADMIN THING IS BADASS!!!

I do mention on the wiki that the plugin support is not the best.....anf I recommend external player usage. but if you are using a plugin use Firefox.
"Using the external player option is far more reliable than the plugins. If you do use a plugin running FireFox is the best browser to use with either Windows Media or VLC plugin. I prefer the VLC plugin." WMP also requires the following configuraton (from the wiki): [B]Can only use the WMV and MPEG 3 Audio with ASF Mux combination[/B]Are you using the above combination? Also make note of the other items under the WMP plugin. Let me know.

ok Got it working with WMV and MPEG 3 Audio with ASF Mux combination... Check it out... I wanna be able to adjust the audio's encoding bitrate... however... When I go to "manual settings".. I choose ASF Mp3 and WMV.. so that all checks out... BUT.... Even if I leave the audio bitrate set at 32.. it ceases to run again.... on the client end.. with WMP....
Waddya think? Just checked... When VLC is selected as the playback tool.. in or out.. and the setup is mp4v,mp4a, and TS... I up the audio and it works!!! I guess I'm just kinda concerned why it doesn't work in WMP... Thanks DOOD!

Ditch WMP
 VLC plays ANYTHING - I can't remember how I first came across it but I never use anything else now.

I do agree about VLC.. It does rule.. However... I wanna stream to various computers.... and I dont wanna have to install VLC in all of em.....hmmmm...

IMHO installing VLC on every computer is a good thing....it is not a resource hog and installs quickly....since it eliminates most issues found in WMP it is a good replacement....you can even download a WMP skin fo VLC so it looks like WMP.
