Hi sub,

Just noticed that I spoke too soon. The characters are still wrong for one of the stations (terra nova).

sub Wrote:You can probably record the transport stream in GB-PVR. You'll need to first watch live tv for the channel you want to record, then close GB-PVR, start the config app and switch the preferred BDA mux to the 'transport stream option', then ok out of the config app. Start GB-PVR and schedule a one minute long recording. With any luck, this will result in a 100MB or so recording.
I'm getting 0kB .ts files. I've tried scheduling a recording in the recordings menu, and also just pressing record while watching the channel.... any advice?

Its not really intended for use with DVB-T, but most people can get it to record a transport stream if they watch a live tv channel with their mux option set to their normal setting (DVR-MS or Cyberlink), then change the mux option to 'Transport Stream', and make a recording. Is this what you tried?

If you cant get it to work, you might need to see if you can find some other utility to help you record a transport stream file.

ok, so after trying the suggested updates in this thread, first i had some longer epg descriptions in the epg. now, all EPG data is gone and even by rolling back to the original versions of the psiparser and the GBPVRBackendCommon file, nothing is fed into the EPG... is there anything i can do to have at least some channel data back ?

cheers,
till

Try an EPG update, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Can you try setting <SaveDvbEpgXML>true</SaveDvbEpgXML> in config.xml, then start the config app and do the 'Update EPG' again, then zip and attach any files named like dvbepg-1.xml in your "c:\" directory? There should be at least one file.

I'm also getting big gaps with DVB EPG in the UK using 98.13 so I've followed this thread and installed the 2 patches.

Now I'm still getting big gaps and get the following error in the config.exe log after doing an EPG update :-

"Unabled to load DVB EPG programme: Input string was not in a correct format."

Is this a problem with the DVB data, or something in the settings at my end ?

Any advice gratefully received.
