I'd like to delete all the info in the EPG, and the channel information that GB PVR has stored in the databases (I'm using sqlite, and editing the tables with the sqlite expert personal program).

I'm a db admin, so I'm fine w/ the SQL I just need to know which tables to clear out, and then restart the gbpvr service and run an epg update to have everything go smoothly without losing all my scheduled programs, card setups, epg login info, and everything else already done that I would lose if I just replaced the gbpvr.db3 file with empty.db3. Only two channels I have stuff recording from moved around, so I won't have to reschedule much if I just empty out a couple tables.

Anybody know how to do this already?

You should just have to edit the channel numbers in both the capture source channel list, and the main channel list. This can all be done in the config app.

Sub,

I just ran into this too and it was a major, major pain. My cable company renumbered every channel between 100-999, and it totally hosed things up in gbpvr, and I couldn't really find much of a way to fix it.

Doing an Update EPG on both capture sources did nothing... the main channel list still had all my old channels. So then I deleted both capture sources, but still the main channel list had all my channels, old (and new, I think). Then I thought I'd just manually delete the channels but that proved very, very slow and frustrating too. Highlighting multiple channels and clicking delete would not delete all the highlighted channels. It did something, deleting some channels but I couldn't quite figure out which ones and it wasn't very many. The first item in the list always stayed the same too, though I came to the conclusion that it might just be a redraw issue. In any event, it took well over an hour to get them all cleared out, even though I was highlighting the entire list every time. (Click, click, click, scroll, click, click, click... why no shift-click or keyboard scroll highlighting? )

Next, I readded my two capture sources again and updated the EPG. Suddenly 5 or 6 of my old channels appeared in the main channel list but none of the new ones. Totally frustrated I saved my config to see what this looked like in the Guide, and all my new channels are there. The main channel tab in config still just shows about 6 of my old channels. Go figure.

So, all that to say you might want to spend some time looking into that part of the config app. Something's definitely rotten in Denmark.

The easiest way to fix your setup when there is massive channel lineup changes by the cable co, is to delete the capture sources and recreate them.

I guess I wasn't clear in my message - that's exactly what I did. I deleted both capture sources and even exited config without any capture sources defined at all, and it still didn't clear out my main channels list.

Thanks sub, I'll try this tonight, and let you know.

One of the side effects of this however was a tv guide that had tons of blank lines, and channels in different orders, some channels repeating. I'll try deleting both capture sources in the config and recreating them to clear that up.

Make sure you dont do them one at a time. Delete both, then recreate both.
