EWA only showing AVI files

Hi all,

EWA is great, but most of my movie files are in divx format. On the PC, in gbpvr, everything is fine. When I go into EWA, the only files that appear are the avi files. I have looked through the web config, but I dont see anything that changes what files display. Am I missing something?

you cannot see what gbpvr has not recorded in the manage recordings tab. If you want to see your other files, you have to configure the video library to point to the folder where your other files are, or search for an importing utility (i dont remember the name of it, but you should be able to find it using the search feature in the forums) that will help you import the file information into the gbpvr database.

Thanks, I am confused still. I have gbpvr pointing to the correct directory for the video library and all movies show up, divx and avi within gbpvr. The avi's were not recorded in gbpvr, but added to the same directory with the divx movies. Thats what is throwing me. The video library tab in ewa and the video library in gbpvr do not match.

Also if it matters, I have nothing in my music library either from the EWA but everything there in gbpvr

What file extensions are you using?

they are .avi, .divx and .mp3 files. Only .avi show up

mp3's will only show up under the music library tab....are you not seeing them there? The music library tab points to the directories that are listed in the GBPVR Config for Music Library Directories.

divx was not in the recognized list of video file types. It has been added in for the next release.

Thanks, I will look for the next build. I havent looked, will the vlc player be able to stream them as well?

As for the mp3's, they are in the folder that gbpvr is pointed to. When I am in gbpvr, I can see all my subfolders as well as all individual mp3's at that folder level. Edit: Just downloaded a Divx movie from the http://stage6.divx.com/ site and it seemed to work fine.......

That explains it.....you need to go into your config.xml file in gbpvr and change the drive mapping to a UNC value.

Example:
Instead of e:\music

you should have

\\computername\sharename\musicdirectory
