It's really difficault to explain but it's sort of like the picture is freezing once or twice (or more) a second. News channel tickertapes jerk their way accross the screen.

News tickers never seem to look as good with VMR as they do with Overlay. Have you tried viewing a news ticker with the nvidia and Overlay renderer?

OK. Thanks for looking.

Are the rapid, 'No DVB Subtitle stream data available' messages, normal behaviour when subtitles are off, then?

sub,

Regarding volume settings messages, please take a look at my log. Are these messages anything to be concerned about?

What volume setting are you using in the config app?

Does it go away with one of the other options? Does it return when you switch back?

Failing that, just try your tuner card in a different PCI slot.

Thank YOU!!! I know this is an old thread but i was just having the live tv stutter problem after re-building my server. Turns out the 1600 and vid card were sharing the same IRQ. Put the 1600 in a different PCI slot, got a new IRQ and presto. Everything is great!

Thanks!!

Update: Well I was wrong.... it's still stuttering and I can't figure out whats going on. I've tried numerous decoders and settings and still having problems. Live TV is not working the way it used to....
