I just went through the same hoops.
The problem is that all scheduled recordings (one-time and recurring) get deleted when you remove the recording sources. Now I've got to go back and recreate all these recordings (hoping that I don't forget any).
What's the likelihood that a smoother way will be built-in in an upcoming release?
It seems like our cable company changes its channel line-up every 2 months or so (!).
