Nothing wrong with a bit of wind mvandere - like today - No worries about petrol prices in my car, just stick it in neutral and it will coast into the city....And besides a bit of wind keeps the air fresh - no smog over here as you would be able to see from that post from sub's window!!!

Hey another thing, I'm being forced over to your neck of the woods on Tuesday (it's a bugger of a job but someone has to do it ) Where would I go to watch the Melbourne cup in Central Melbourne???

Sub, you keep neglecting to tell them about the WIND

I just had to get an idea of how windy it is there so: http://www.windenergy.org.nz/FAQ/resource.htm says:"New Zealand has one of the best wind resources of any country in the world and is consequently well suited to wind energy development lying as it does across the prevailing westerly winds in an area long referred to by sailors as the 'Roaring Forties'."

This reminds me of my college days in the mountains of Virginia, USA. We had to tie the garbage cans to the house or they would go flying down the hill.

hmmm, let's do some math and sum it up:
- plenty wind
- horrendous view

some people (including me & anybody else with an addiction to strong & steady wind conditions ;-) would kill just to get this together at the place they live & work...

...now, how fast could you get down to that harbor?
