if you get your mits on a cyberlink multiplexer, and change gbpvr config to use the cyberlink mux the bda recordings are saved as mpegs, which can be sent straight to comskip for processing.

I changed the multiplexer in Config / Misc / BDA Multiplexer to Cyberlink and recorded a new programme but it still comes out as dvr-ms

Am I stuck with .dvr-ms ???

If I'm stuck with .dvr-ms, does that mean no comskip, no comclean and no transcoding ?

Hi sub, fancy meeting you here...

I remember from a post from a couple of days ago, (can't find it) that you were intending to implement a different way to convert dvr-ms to mpg. I believe the specifics were something to do with selecting a dvr-ms in the video plugin and transposing to mpg...

I may have been wrong to assume, but I thought that you would have worked it into the already existing profiles for ipod and xvid, etc, that currently use ffmpeg.

(I would then 'steal' those settings and build it into ZProcess)

'Get you mits on the muxer...' yeah that's the trick isn't. I looked high and low and couldn't find it. That's why I was unable to test a dvr-ms to mpg transpose with ffmpeg and ZProcess...

I also think that the best way is to get your recording in mpg format from the beginning.... there's so much more support for that file type

try running 'bda mux checker' (i think thats the name, im at work at mo), its a little utility that is installed with GBPVR and tells you which muxs are on your system. maybe if you havnt got the mux you select in config then its kicking back to the microsoft one and thus giving you dvr-ms. GBPVR doesnt come with any muxes itself, the microsoft one is in SP2 and the others...well, as Zehd says....

.....and ive had it since i set the pvr up, only ever did one recording in dvr-ms, and have been running the thing for months now. cant for the life of me remember how i came by it though :-s

maybe when ive gotten some sleep ill remember. nightshifts do terrible things to my mind. or is that just age?Rolleyes
