Hi,

I'm having problems with EPG updates (I'm using Zap2IT), and its probably been going on for a couple of weeks now. The problem is, if I start GBPVR, I'll see that my TV-Guide is empty for the current time, then if I do EPG update, it will get the program guide up to the current time, but nothing further.

This is the first time I report a problem, so not to sure which logs to attach, but I've attached gbpvr.exe.log, which does show an error like this

zap2it: The startTime you specified -31T00:00:00Z is not in a valid format, and has been corrected to a default value

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kenn

Do an 'update EPG' from the config app, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and I'll take a look.

The EPG update using your credentials seems to work fine from here.

Can you set <SaveZap2itXML>true</SaveZap2itXML> in config.xml, then do the 'update epg' again, then zip and attach c:\zap2it.log?

I'm not really sure.

Both our logs show the following:

10/25/2006 6:31:57 PM.625 VERBOSE [3] Requesting listings for the period: 2006-10-25T00:00:00Z to 2006-10-30T00:00:00Z

But when on your machine the response from zap2it contains the following error and the listings up until the end of today:

10/25/2006 6:32:00 PM.671 VERBOSE [3] zap2it: The startTime you specified -30T00:00:00Z is not in a valid format, and has been corrected to a default value.

On my machine I see the exact same date range requested but, I dont get that error message, and I get four days worth of listings.

I'll try and do another re-install and see if that helps, and perhaps use another machine I got, to see if its my PC that is behaving oddly.

Just wanted to share my progress..I still haven't figured out what is wrong with my install, PC or a certain setting, but I followed the instructions for I-xmltv on the WiKi http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...percharger and that works fine, I get my guide update. However, I still see similar errors as before:

MESSAGE FROM DATA DIRECT: The startTime you specified was invalid and has been corrected to 2006-11-06T00:00:00Z.
MESSAGE FROM DATA DIRECT: The endTime you specified was invalid and has been corrected to 2006-11-13T23:59:59Z.

Using the GBPVR build in EPG update, I saw same error but the endtime was corrected to the same day, so I only got 24 hours, now it corrects my endtime to 7 days ahead, so I get my week of data..not sure what is going on, but I'm happy Big Grin

I hate to play "me too", but I am also seeing this same problem on a new installation. Unfortunately, I tried the I-xmltv plug-in and it did not work.

I-xmltv appears to have updated correctly and my channels even appeared in the config utility (though, I noticed that they were all disabled and stayed that way when I reopened the utility even after I checked them all).
