Hi,

I have an issue with shows scheduled using quick record, from the TV Guide programming section, closing off before the show ends. Is it possible to manually adjust the time length the programme will run after it's designated TV Guide time?

If not, would it be a major hassle to include this ability, which could use the existing post show padding set in the config, in future versions?

Finally, what's the difference between the encoding method of the quick record versus the record?

Thanks.

Quick record uses the (default) encoding settings from the medium quality profile plus the padding settings from config-capture sources. So if you change these settings to your liking, you should be ok.

HtV,

Thanks for the reply.

That is the issue. It is not using the 11 minute padding I have designated for post show recording in config.

That's why I queried as to how quick record worked. If a show is shown to end at 4.30pm in the TV Guide, then it shuts down at 4.30pm, often cutting off the end of the programme. Given my countries lack of programming discipline, that is quite often.

Should I resubmit this in the support forum minus

Zip and attach the logs showing this and I'll take a look.

gkar,
Pre / Post padding cannot work unless the tuner is available during that time period. If you're watching live TV using the same tuner, or have a show scheduled to record before or after the current one, the recording will not be padded.

I see in your logs that you watch live TV using the same tuner, and thought that may be the problem.
