Keyboard shortcut for plugin

I've been reading more posts than I can ever hope to remember, but I can't seem to find any reference to creating a keyboard shortcut that can pull up a plugin directly. ie. {F1} loads the TV Guide, etc. Is it simply noted in a config / xml file?

No I think you're right, I think it is only defined in the config.xml...and even then, without the key presses.

to do that you'll have to re-assign one of the existing plugins assigned to those keys...in config.xml...say you want plugin X when you push F1, set plugin X as 'defaultpluginguide' and when you hit F1, plugin X will come up...
look for <!-- Default plugins --> section...
must be the name as it would appear to GBPVR

That's too bad. Especially considering that I already use all but one of them and had several more I would love have access to at the touch of a button.

For example:
My Programs
Weather
Videos/Movies folder
Videos/Music Videos folder

etc.

Maybe Santa can give me an idea for xmas...
