I'm currently running 98.13. After watching several recordings (5? maybe) at some point the next video I watch will continue to show the ready to watch recordings screen after hitting play. I can hear the audio and I can skip around with the remote but I have no video. The solution is to close and re-open GBPVR. I've attached my logs and there is a line when it is getting ready to show the file where it states that it can't find the Intervideo codec, which it is always able to find when showing previous recordings. Is there anything I can do to make this nuisance go away? Is there a better codec/mux that I should be using?

As always, excellent product sub, every release continues to amaze and impress me and my friends.

PS. look for 7:42 AM on 11/16 in log for the example of this happening.

Are using Overlay or VMR9?

I had the same thing too and I switched it to the other one and I haven't had that problem since.

I am going to bump this as it seemed to have died off and I'm still having this problem. I have to restart GB-PVR to correct this. I need a wireless mouse and keyboard.. Sad

Should I turn up the logging level? Its probably set to whatever the default was.

The default 'debug' level gives me the most info.

Ok So I exited the viewer (not recording service), then deleted the logs and re-started. I basically played some recordings until it wouldn't play them any more. The 8th one didn't play, but the audio started. I then zipped the logs up and attached them.

Hopefully I got all the ones you needed.

Edit: If you need anything else, let me know.

I'm not really sure, but there is two things you could try:

1) Try switching to a different video decoder. When it has this problem, the logs indicated it was failing to load the Intervideo video decoder for some unknown reason.

2) or, edit config.xml to set <ForcedGraphTeardown>true</ForcedGraphTeardown>

I switched to an nVidia Decoder and was able to play more than 20 different recordings without faults. So that works. Smile

I hope to try the config.xml thing when my machine isn't recording.
