Sorry, there is no obvious cause in your logs.

I can see some funny filters being used, but I dont know why. They would normally not be present.
Quote:14:59:46.171 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
14:59:46.171 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
14:59:46.171 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
14:59:46.171 VERBOSE - BDA MPEG2 Transport Information Filter
14:59:46.171 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Sections and Tables
14:59:46.171 VERBOSE - GB-PVR PSI Parser
14:59:46.171 VERBOSE - AC3Filter
14:59:46.171 VERBOSE - AVI Decompressor
14:59:46.171 VERBOSE - Conexant Color Format Converter

14:59:46.171 VERBOSE - NVIDIA Video Decoder
14:59:46.171 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
14:59:46.171 VERBOSE - USB HDTV-GT AVStream TS Capture
14:59:46.171 VERBOSE - USB HDTV-GT BDA Tuner (ATSC)
14:59:46.171 VERBOSE - Microsoft ATSC Network Provider

So the XP Pro machine audio works after installing the open source AC3 decoder. Thanks!

As far as the slow configuration goes, it takes about 45 seconds after hitting OK from the channel mapping utility as well as an additional 45 seconds after hitting OK again in the config. This happens on both machines, which are AMD Sempron 3400 2 GHz/1GB, other is 512MB.

Thanks,
Jeff

OK, new problem. I installed AC3Filter, got audio (on a 5.1 channel, not others,) got video in live TV, but when I did a quick test for recording a show, the DVR-MS file size is only 6 KB.

The same thing happens when I try to pause live TV, but there I get an error, "Error: Failure playing back file"

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jeff

zip and attach the logs and I'll see if I can see any obvious cause.

Another clue about what might be related to the problem is that after reboot, GB-PVR wouldn't tune channels. I then ran the the OnAir software to make sure that my cable didn't go out, and it worked fine. Then when I ran GB-PVR again after the OnAir, the tuner worked.

I just bought an HDTV and now I'm trying to upgrade my HTPC. I'm looking to purchase the OnAIR GT tuner, however I have a couple of questions.

1). Will this tuner work with Comcast Digital Cable with HD? I have a digital receiver.
2). Will this tuner work with my OTA antenna?
3). Typically how large (GBs) are 30 minute / 60 minute recordings?

After working with Ryan from OnAir, I determined that my old PC's USB ports were the cause. Connected to my new laptop, the signal from Comcast was 34-35 and perfectly steady, but if I pulled it out and plugged it into my old pentium machine(that does have the latest drivers, bios, etc), the signal would start fluctuating between 29 and 31 on the same channel. The old pentium was a test anyway, so I am not worried, but I wanted to throw this out as a possible problem for some.

Here's an odd one in regards stuttering issue--if I watch live tv, via GBPVR or OnAir's software, I see and hear stuttering. Tonight I tested out recording two programs at once(with the PVR150 for analog). The HD content recorded was perfect! No stuttering. Hmmmm.....

But now, no sound on the recording....off to solve yet another issue.
