Got myself into some bad trouble for the first time in a long time with GBPVR ('luckily' with my own setup and not the ones I've done for friends and family)
Set off to upgrade one late night, but speeded too fast through the dialogs to catch that it didn't point at my normal directory c:\Programmer\gbpvr\ but rather to the c:\Program files\... default. It installed most of the way before I realised it and cancelled out. Alas - it was too late, and the damage was done.
Since then I have not been able to roll back or get a correct installation up and running again (except from a vanilla installation).
All attempts to roll back or reinstall on top of my old install results in
a) Channels lost from the recording devices, and impossible to reimport from EPG source
b) Every attempt to reload and save EPG info results in a database lock error as do other config change attempts (see attached screendump)
If it was just an issue of reconfiguring the channels again and then go from there, I would have been done days ago (I actually currently run with a clean install to record whatever is on these days)
But with two+ years worth of recordings well past 1TB I would REALLY like my database information on the existing recordings (usually accessed through VideoArchive collected from 6 disks C: thru H: ) and prefeably my reocurring recording as well.
Any attempt to resore the database so far has failed. Any hints/help would be greatly appreciated. either to get an install correct on top of the old install or import the DB info into a new installation.
Also attached logfiles form one of my failed attempts.
I have a copy of the gbpvr directory from before I started the install, but reinstating it doesn't do the trick.
