EPG not auto updating

Hi, I'm having trouble keeping the epg updated automatically. I'm using zap2it plugin to get my guide data. It is set to update at 3am. but they only way the guide gets updated if I click on update epg. Am I suposed to click on update epg to update the epg or is the epg supposed update itself at the time specified? Thanks.

yes it should update it's self. Silly question, but is your machine on at 3am, and do you have 'wake machine' ticked if it isn't???
