Sub, sorry to bother you but I hunted around and couldn't find the answer so: what is the default buffer time size for the new release and where/how can it be changed? Thanks!!
- WinXP Pro, 2 GB RAM, 200 GB HDD, Core2Duo 2.4 GHz, nVidia GeForce 8800GTS, Hauppauge Win-TV PVR 350.

The previous release used a ring buffer file that was a set size.

The new release no longer uses a ring buffer. Instead, each programme you watch now results in a new file being created. A few minutes after you finish watching the programme, the file is deleted (unless you press the record button, then file is kept). This scheme is the same way SageTV does it. This approach also made FF/Skip etc much easier.

Thanks Sub! another tivo like feature!

i guess i can try this, but say you are watching live tv and the next program starts... mid way through you want to finish it later, when you press record, will gbpvr save only the current program? and not the portion from previous say hour or so?
