I also use the software recorder plugin for the analog side of my ATI HDTV Wonder. This may or may not help you. Attached are the settings for that card.

Now the program records fine when in Overlay Manager (will fix VMR7 and VMR9 later). The only problem is when I am in liveTV mode, the picture keeps shaking (in timeshift it looks fine). I want to enable liveTV mode since sometimes it lets me play console with no lag. So does anyone know how to solve the shaking problem of the liveTV mode ???? I hope that soon I won't see the ati mmc bar or the right side of my desktop anymore...

EDIT : the shaking problem can be fixed by limiting the frame rate to 30 frames per seconds, can livetv preview mode limit the frame rate in some way ?

I think that the pre-9500 AIW Radeon use the WDM SP drivers and not the ATI AVStream drivers, but anyways, i'll take a look at the files you're going to give me.
