no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it


I am using 95-16 without a problem for a very long time ( i think about a year )

been wanting to upgrade but didn't have time

I noticed that it missed 3 programs today
then i tried to turn on live tv and got the error
most of the post are about new installs
or other newer versions

If i update gbpvr what files should i copy
I had trouble tuning it when i started ( i know that the tuner part was upgraded but is there a file that i should save just incase it still doesn't work with my cable system )

You should save the database (gbpvr.db3 or gbpvr.mdb, you will have one or the other, not both... well... actually, if you have switced to db3, then you old gbpvr.mdb might still hang around, but then it's not needed anymore). Then you should also save config.xml. I think that's all. Oh, you should also keep the old installation file gbpvr.msi, because otherwise you can't go back to your current version if something gets screwed up.

Some people have reported problems going to (I think) .98 version while skipping (I think) .97 version, so you should be careful to be able to go back.
Someone on here might have the installation files for the intermediate versions if you ask nicely.

So steps are:
1) Back up your files (including old installer file)
2) Try to upgrade to version .98 (or wait until later today/tomorrow when sub uploads next version)
3) If things go bad, uninstall and reinstall your current version.
4) Replace your newly installed database and config files with your backup versions.
5) Try to find the intermediate versions to do one-at-a-time upgrades.

I rebooted my computer 3 times and then it started working
I am going to update my system to a new version this week since not much on tv with x-mas here
Thinking of adding 2nd tuner might wait and see what the after x-mas sales bring
