If you want a pc interface then just use your web browser instead of the main gbpvr app. It's ment to be used with a mouse and a keyboard.

Um, why? Just put a short cut for it on your desktop... When I'm scheduling recordings on the pc I'm using the web interface 'cos it's fast and powerful when you have a keyboard, a mouse and a high resolution screen. It's very 'computerish'.

Where when I'm using the main app it's very tv friendly, it's like using an advanced tv or vcr and very much not like using a computer. That's how it should be.

If you just want to watch tv on your computer and timeshift it, then the software that came with your tv card should be all you need. If you want an epg on the computer and want to schedule recordings, then the web interface is perfect. If you want to use the epg and playback your recordings on the tv, then the main GBpvr app is perfect for that.

Trying to make one piece of software do it all at the same time will just mean that it does everything worse....

WinTV that came with my PVR250 is ok but lacks an EPG.

I find it the long way round (Rube ref.) because it is not designed that way out of the box. As far as I can tell the application has to be running anyway so why also have a browser involved ?

I'm not saying it is a bad idea, just convoluted, but I did try it out. If you can give me some tips on config I'll have a second try at it.

Here's what I've tried: GBPVRConfig/Misc/Web Scheduling Enabled and set port to 2113 set username and password

Open FF browser http://127.0.0.1:2113/
Results in error:

Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application.
HTTP Error 404 - Not Found.
Version Information: Cassini Web Server 1.0.2445.14611

The Wiki has some references to unc paths but it is not very descriptive, I'll have to experiment with it.

No, not the application, only the server is needed for the web browser.
