Is it possible to set GB-PVR to use the systems default screensaver instead of gbpvr's (or VA panel's which I using now)? I understand this wouldn't work on the MVP but maybe their is a way to fire off some kind of system event instead of the default screensaver.

There is no builtin functionality that would do that do this, but you can probably disable GB-PVR screen saver, and just configure windows to show whatever screensaver you want after x minutes.

So how come the default SS doesn't come up when GBPVR is running?
* Rogers Analog Cable [Canada]
* Hauppauge WintTV PVR USB2
* IBM Thinkpad T42 / 1GB Mem / Centrino 1.6Ghz / 60GB HD / ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 + VGA/DVI out
* MCE Remote + Keyboard
* Win XP SP2 / GBPVR [Latest version. always]
* Pioneer HDTV via VGA (1360x768)
* MS Remote Keyboard
* Logitech Harmony 880 [via MS Remote Control Reciever]

It should, except when video is playing, but its not something I've ever tried.

Well, I can tell you that n my ststem, the XP SS is set to 1 minute, he GBPVR SS is set to 2 minutes. When GB is running (didn't try in window, but in fullscreen) I never get the XP SS, but if GBPVR is not running, then I do. For example, how would XP know not to bring SS while watching video?

Don't get me wrong - i see it as a good thing. A "feature" and not a "bug", but I just think the XP SS solution layed out here is not going to work.
