Not a big problem because I rarely use Live TV from the PC... just would like to know the cause. This all started when I updated the PVR-150 driver to 24073 while running 98.13. The problem continues after I upgraded to PVR-150 driver 24108 following all of the directions found @ shspvr.com (only had to re-run hwclear about a million times per the instructions :-) I upgraded to 99.05 thinking that an upgrade might straighten things out but alas... no luck.

The Problem:
a) Live TV from my PC gives me Audio ONLY... the window within the gbpvr app stays blank and does not display any video... audio sounds fine and channel changes and other controls appear to work (but I can't see them).
b) Playback of recorded video to the PC does just fine (audio and video)
c) Live TV and Playback of video via my MVP does just fine (audio and video)

Current Configuration
a) PVR-150 w/ driver 24108
b) gbpvr 99.05 running sqlite database

config.xml and logs attached

Its just not finding an MPEG2 decoder on your PC.

I'm fairly (really) ignorant when it comes to all of the codec & mpeg stuff. Isn't an MPEG2 decoder required for video playback to the PC? I think I've seen some recommendations elsewhere on this forum for which codecs/mpeg decoders work best -- can you point me in the right direction?

This one is easy to get and "decent": http://sourceforge.net/projects/gplmpgdec/

Thanks for the link... I'll try installing this.

But your reply has me further confused. If an MPEG2 decoder is required for video playback to the PC, why am I able to correctly play back previously recorded gbpvr video to the PC using the gbpvr screen interface (not MVP)? If I ask gbpvr to record 5 minutes of video from the PVR150 and then play it back, everything is great. But if I try to do this via Live TV, I only get audio.

That may imply that you do have one somewhere, but I can see in the logs you provided above that Windows failed to autodetect one when you tried to use live tv.

You may find that it helps to specifically pick it on the playback tab, rather than relying on the 'system default' setting.
