Hi all,

Just got my MVP last week and have been playing about with various pieces of software for it. Been looking and playing with GB-PVR a lot - I love the slick interface, features and functionalities. I did run into an issue though, and I hope that some people here can help me out.

When I run GB-PVR in fullscreen mode on the PC, I can browse all my video files (mainly DivX and Xvid stuff), and play them back - i.e. they show up in the library list, I can select them and the actual movies start playing. When I connect with the MVP, I can't see those files at all, and so can't play them. Is this a known issue?

Thanks

Martijn

The MVP hardware can only natively play MPEG1/MPEG2 video files, so it doesnt give you the option to play DivX etc.

Hmm, I see - but the latest hauppauge software does support Divx playback. I was hoping GBPVR could do the same....

The device itself only supports playback of MPEG1/MPEG2. I read the Hauppauge software uses some method of on the fly conversion to MPEG1. GB-PVR doesnt have this functionality so no AVI playback.

ah - bummer [Image: sad.gif] I really like GBPVR, and was hoping I could use it. But since the vast majority of my viewing habits revolve around watching Divix or Xvid stuff, I guess that will be a no-go then.
