Watching .TS files on my MVP, not in GBPVR emulation mode

I've got GBPVR running for the past week or so, accumulating some PBS shows that I'd like to watch on my TV in the other room using MediaMVP.

I tried running the MVP in GBPVR emulation mode but I didn't like what I saw - lockups, menu text running off the screen, no video or audio when trying to playback shows. (rev D3A MVP if that matters)

Until I can spend a lot of time fiddling, I'd rather just use the Hauppauge MVP software and watch my recordings as I'm used to that - except I can't play .TS files.

Questions:
- what conversion do I pick to convert my .TS files into for the MVP player to play them? Is this on the config program under the processing tab?
- Is the MVP player capable of 16:9 output for shows I'm recording OTA that are in 16:9 format?
- Any reason I should stick with .TS files and not do post processing of the files?

TIA,
Dave

Most of that sounds like some misconfiguration, using the Hauppauge dongle and mvpmc should give similar results. For SD .ts files in North America the audio will be badly out of sync.

You will need two one for converting HD and one for SD. You will still get mixed results on HD

mvpmc supports switching if the internal flag switches

None, but you will likely not be 100% with post processing either.
