Hi,

Having installed GBPVR & sorted out a working EPG, I wonder how I can play recording made on my PC in a stand-alone dvd player connected to our PC.

My first attempt shows "unknown". :-(

Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks

For most DVD players, you'd need to run some DVD creation software and create a DVD from the recorder, then it would play just like any other DVD.

Thanks for your reply, Sub.

Do you mean that I open the GBPVR-created file in something like Windows Movie Maker or Ulead Video Studio and create the dvd in one of those?

Yeah, something like that (though I dont think Windows Movie Maker makes DVDs).

Basically DVD Players play DVDs, so if you want to watch a GB-PVR recording on a stand alone DVD player, then you'd usually have to make a DVD from that recording, which typically involves some sort of DVD burning software.

Thanks for that. I haven't tried Windows MM, so can't comment. I have the Ulead programme, so will give it a go.

I suppose it's 10 in the morning in NZ. I'm just going to bed. :-)

Well, Ulead VideoStudio 10 did the trick. :-)

Thanks for your help.
