Hi all,
I have a 3 tv tuner card system based inthe UK, epg comes from radio times and not off air. I have 3 hard drives with the software (98.13) being installed on drive C and recordings on drive F. I also use the MVP as my front end

The problem is as follows:
Watching a program on say BBC1
Decide to record it after watching for a while
press record on the MVP remote and answer yes to record current program
Switch the MVP off

Next day PC has error saying drive C is full. GB-PVR doesn't work.
On the C drive is the name of the BBC1 program that was recorded up to the full capacity of the disk - about an 18Gb file.

It appears that GB pvr is using C as a temp directory and then not stopping the recording stream until the disk fills up instead of stopping the record at the end of the program.

Any thoughts??

Pete:confused:

Yeah, that doesnt sounds good. Can you zip and attach a set of logs showing the problem?

I have had this problem, too. I don't know if it is every time I do "record to end" on something I'm watching live, but it happens a large percentage of the time (though I don't use LiveTV much). I have attached my logs. It was supposed to end at 8:30. I restarted around 8:43 to make it stop, and then stopped later to zip the logs since they were in use. Hope they help. I can try again in a more controlled environment if needed.

I just had this problem too. My logs are attached. Started watching a show in timeshift mode, decided to go to bed and pressed record and chose "record until end of current program" and switched off the TV. Next morning disk almost full but the system seemed to shutdown at around 8AM. When playing back the show I can see the timeline is super long 9 hours or so. Deleting the show regained the huge diskspace. From what I can see in the logs, the recording service thinks Moonraker (that was the program) ends at 1AM as planned.

I just tried this again while watching a show that should end. Funny thing: after the show is finished and I press the blue button, I still see the red recording bar at the bottom instead of blue and the show progress bar has reached the end and the current position white triangle is passed the end of the show. The progress bar doesn't switch to the next show as it normally does when not recording to end of program. Also couldn't delete it from ready list without rebooting as I was getting file in use by another process errors.

This seems reproducible for me so any tests I can do to help let me know. The key seems to let live tv continue on the show in timeshift during the show's planned ending.

Hi sub. Is this unreproducible or on the to do list?

I'm fairly sure this was raised in another thread recently and fixed for the next release.
