EPG not updating after 0.99.5 update

i'm using version 0.99.5 with pinnacle DVB-T 200e USB device & CyberLink MPEG Muxer VERSION: 5.0.2022 plugins: shutdown & bleepbloop.

hi sub,

i can't update EPG after updating to 0.99.5 i've done a reboot, empty EPG & update EPG, still the errors are the same "DVB EPG error reading xml: System.Xml.XmlException: Root element is missing". should i enable <SaveDvbEpgXML>true</SaveDvbEpgXML> in config.xml or do you have any other ideas i could try out?

There's an identified problem with zap2it updating for some users with GBPVR 9905 that sub wrote a patch for. Look around this forum for the patched file.

as i'm over the pond, i'm not using zap2it, i'm using DVB-EPG broadcast OTA, or is that update fixing a general bug?

Try setting <SaveDvbEpgXML>true</SaveDvbEpgXML>, then zip and attach the c:\dvbepg.xml file.

No, not really.

On the empty file thing though, the file will be overwritten after scanning each transponder.

i only got it working again after uninstalling GBPVR & a fresh install. after that i simply restored gbpvr.db3 so the only real difference should be in config.xml ... the only difference i found was set to <BDAUsePsiParser>false</BDAUsePsiParser> in the old config.xml. could that have been the culprit?

Yes, it absolutely needs the Psi Parser to get information like the EPG out of the stream.

i had 0.98.8b previously with that setting & it worked... till now i haven't messed with config.xml, is it a setting somewhere in the interface of config.exe?
