Hey sub - did I miss you mentioning this? or is this a new "secret" feature?
I just found out about pressing "Play" on a future program in the guide, and the cool notice that comes up. I think I mentioned it in a wishlist at some point... yeepee!

Anyone had this work and can say what it should do? I'm guessing it something like a reminder of program about to start popup, but I can't get it to work. Further info in the post below:

All I get is a white box, no blue box when I come out of the program. Using the Base skin with MCEBlue.

Its nothing particularly exciting. You can press play on a future show in the TV Guide and it'll create a viewing reminder that will popup on the screen when that show is about to start.

This skin probably hasnt been updated to support it. It'll work as expected with the blue skin.

Okay, I happen to stumble on this feature when I hit "play" on a 6 hour tennis event, prior to it beginning.

During the event, every time GBPVR was brought up on MVP or the main computer, a pop up saying,

"The following show is about to start .... <Watch> <Cancel>"

Hitting <Watch> goes to the show, and hitting <Cancel> closes the box, but it does not cancel the reminder. I have no idea how to get rid of this reminder, besides waiting for the show to end.

I'm glad I didn't hit play on a 48 hour telethon... eheh

Well, hitting play on the same show in the guide cancels the reminder. I think.
But a place (screen) to "manage" the reminders (I think they are "cousins" of recordings, so maybe a button in the recording screen?) would be nice. Or (and?) another button "Don't remind me again" on the popup could help.

BTW - question re this subject:
Will the reminder popup also in Main menu and such? or only when watching something? only LiveTV?

I tried hitting "play" on it again, and it still shoots me a reminder. The show is highlighted in blue. Just to check this further, I hit play on a 30 minute (smarter) show that starts shortly. It turned blue within the guide also. Hitting "play" on it again does not unhighlight it.

So where is it that you hit "Play"? I only did it within the main guide, and hitting play again did clear the blue marking.

Hmmm, strange, worked this time. I was able to clear the future reminders, but the 6 hour long one that is still blue, and still reminding me when I start GBPVR or one of my MVP's can not be toggled this way, since hitting "play" goes to live TV on that channel without effecting the blue "reminder" status.

Aha - "play" won't do it then, if it's in progress... hence comes the "Manage Reminders" screen... Smile
