Re-Encoding Recordings

Any suggestions for a newb on how to take my records with me in a smaller footprint. Divx comes to mind, or Xvid or whatever. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My laptop harddrive is not too big and I don't need the files to be perfect quality anyway.

Try AutoGK. Works great for converting to Divx/Xvid formats.

Another vote here for AutoGK, it does a great job of selecting the optimum settings for converting to divx/xvid. You can select the final file size you want and it will do everything for you.
