Need MPEG2 PS file specification

The title says it all really.

I've got so far with understanding stuff like PACK headers and stream IDs etc. but it would be useful if I could find a document with the specification of the structure of an mpeg2 PS file.

Googling so far hasn't found it - anyone know of one?

Thanks - I'm hoping I can work at the packet level, i.e., not have to drill down too deep.

I'm trying to see if I can write a dvr-ms -> mpeg transcoder by dismantling the ASF Data object in the dvr-ms file, extracting the mpeg streams then writing them to an mpeg2 PS file format.

It may be 'pie in the sky' but I'm still convinced dvr-ms recordings, for high-bitrate channels such as Film4, are actually solid WRT AV sync, and its the muxers that introduce the sync. errors during graph-based transcoding. A simple 'transplant' operation would retain all original timestamps.

It's a nice theory anyway.

I'm at the ASF payload parsing stage at the moment and I can still understand what's going on (always a good sign ). I'm hoping to run some complete tests tonight.
