well, it stopped working for me. Now I get the same errors as before. Mostly the following memory error.

Error: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often anindication that other memory is currupt.

Occasionally, I get the signal strength error. Either way, I can't watch or record. The odd thing is, I went to rescan and as soon as I opened up the window, one of the hd channels tuned in and played back fine. So something is allowing the scan window to work, but not the full screen windows to work.

Does that give you any new ideas?

Thanks.

I also just completed a rescan, and the scan found my 4 network hd channels. However, when I opened up GBPVR, went to the program guide, and tried to watch one of them, I got the same memory error.

I am getting all the QAM channels that I receive in the GT tuner in GB-PVR except 2 (WCCO HD-CBS and KARE HD-NBC) according to the GT tuner these are on channel 112 but I don't get any 112 channels to show in my scan in GB-PVR. Any ideas? My provider is Comcast.

I am trying to manually tune CBS and NBC. This is an example for ABC:

T:111,5,1~P:4~V:65~A:68~PMT:64~N:>5.1 KSTPDT1 (000)

What do the following letters' values mean:

P
V
A
PMT
N

P is the program number (some times referred to as service number or service id)
V is the video PID
A is the audio PID
PMT is the PMT PID
N is the name, and can be pretty much anything you want (not used for anything by the app).

Hopefully these details will be visible somewhere in the OnAir app.

Thanks,

Never mind, I just put in T:112,4,1 for CBS and T:112,11,1 for NBC and now I can watch CBS and NBC in HD through PVR. And now it should record in HD Heroes in about 19 minutes!! Sweet!!

Say Niebs,

seems like your in my twin city neighborhood... you have comcast cable, and a OnAir as do I... However I am getting poor signals from the cable ... for instance, channel 29, 4, 17 (all of them), run into Stream unstable errors.. (turn on in video options)... I wonder if you have anything like that happening? ... perhaps we can communicate? and test?

-Tim
PS: I am in Shakopee, formerly TimeWarner territory... (what are you getting for service from Comcast, Basic? Antenna? or Standard? Digital?)

Thanks in advance.

I did have some reception problems at first but then I added a coax amplifier and that seem to fix my reception problems. If there is something more specific you would like me to look at just let me know.

I am just getting their most basic cable (30 analog stations, $13/month).

Give me an idea of the amp you bought... and where.. maybe I will try that..

right now I have mine working with 2 purchased HDTV antenna's .. and putting them thru a reversed splitter, and aiming them to StPaul and Minneapolis/GoldenValley

works ok ... but I would rather make it easier.. if you know what I mean... but there is a HUGE difference in quality over the dif stations.. and especially btwn air and cable.

I think it is a GE amp, I got it at Home Depot. I can get you more specifics tonight.
